Ancillary Services Charges to Appear as Separate Line Item in Electric Bills

In compliance with ERC Resolution No. 04, Series of 2026, Visayan Electric will reflect Ancillary Services (AS) Charges as a separate line item in customer electric bills.

Ancillary Services Charges cover the cost of services that help maintain the stability, reliability, and efficiency of the power grid. These services support the continuous and secure delivery of electricity from the transmission system to distribution utilities and customers.

Please note that this is not a new charge. AS Charges are existing transmission-related pass-through costs that were previously included in transmission charges. The separate billing presentation is intended to provide customers with a clearer and more transparent breakdown of electricity charges. See sample below:
