To enhance the technical training of future electricians, Visayan Electric officially turned over electrical training board materials to the Cebu City Department of Manpower Development and Placement (DMDP) through a ceremony at the City Hall last April 25.
The project “Tools for Tomorrow: Powering Skills, Building Careers” addresses the scarcity of specialized equipment for Electrical Installation and Maintenance (EIM) students of DMDP.
This initiative ensures practical experience for aspiring electricians, allowing them to move beyond theory and gain mastery over real-world electrical systems.
These donated electrical systems are designed to simulate actual electrical operations, allowing students to prepare for industry-standard certification and accreditation.
Led by Kaibigan Batch 6 under Visayan Electric’s Corporate Social Responsibility program, this initiative does more than just provide tools; it bridges the gap between education and employment.
This partnership is a manifestation of Visayan Electric’s commitment to powering the future of the communities it serves by making a meaningful impact and investing in the potential of aspiring electricians.
