Visayan Electric, the country's second-largest electric distribution utility, officially turned over brand-new signage to the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) during its morning flag ceremony at Camp Sotero Cabahug on Gorordo Avenue on May 25.
Engr. Benje Retuertas, Visayan Electric’s Head of Safety, Health, Environment, and Security (SHES), proudly presented the signage to CCPO City Director PCOL George V. Ylanan, reinforcing the utility’s ongoing commitment to community safety and development.
In his speech, Engr. Retuertas emphasized the vital importance of collaboration between public and private institutions.
"Meaningful progress is rarely achieved alone. Great organizations succeed because of strong partnerships built on a shared vision and complementary strengths," he shared.
In partnership with the Aboitiz Foundation, a total of two signages were installed: one at Camp Sotero Cabahug’s main gate and another at the entrance of the office building.
To express their deep gratitude for the utility's unwavering support, the CCPO presented a plaque of appreciation to Visayan Electric.
This partnership underscores Visayan Electric's continued commitment to powering Cebu's progress and actively supporting government efforts to keep the community safe.
