Barangay Mambaling empowered with immediate fire safety assets through Visayan Electric’s Project Care+

At Visayan Electric, our commitment to Cebuano families extends beyond supplying electricity—we are dedicated to keeping our communities safe, resilient, and empowered. To protect the lives and homes of the people we serve, Visayan Electric’s Kaibigan Batch 4 has launched Project Care+ (Community Aid for Resilience and Emergency Preparedness) in Barangay Mambaling.
Recognizing that Barangay Mambaling’s high-density neighborhood and narrow pathways can delay external emergency vehicles during a crisis, Visayan Electric stepped in to establish a crucial, localized first line of defense.
To give local leaders and volunteer fire responders the tools needed for immediate action, Project Care+ turned over a high-grade emergency response package, including: Complete fireman’s personal protective equipment (PPE), suits (hard hats, jackets, pants, belts, gloves, and boots), heavy-duty 5kg fire extinguishers, emergency lights, and heavy-duty Flashlights, Fire Rescue Masks and Emergency Medical Kits.
Visayan Electric’s engineers also conducted specialized Line Safety Awareness Talks. By sharing practical expertise on electrical hazard mitigation, our team empowered residents to prevent fires before they start.
The Kaibigan CSR Program is a Visayan Electric employee-led initiative that gives team members the opportunity to support causes they are passionate about. Since its inception in 2024, the program has benefited various underserved communities, including fisherfolk, farmers, women’s groups, and children. It also highlights the organization’s strong culture of service and community engagement.
Through proactive initiatives like Project Care+, Visayan Electric reaffirms its pledge to put consumers first—building safer, stronger communities for generations to come.
